Ramblers Advice:
Walking independently -
Subject to government advice and restrictions about those who are in households with symptoms or pre-existing health conditions: independent walks can continue and are an excellent way to maintain health and wellbeing - provided independent walkers can keep their distance from others.
Group walks -
The ‘Rule of Six’ does not apply to Ramblers led group walks in Tiers 1-3 as they are categorised as ‘outdoor physical activity events’. Ramblers walks meet the protocols and have extra measures in place to reduce the risks of COVID-19. The upper limit set is 30 walkers. However, the number of walkers accepted is at the discretion of the walk leader and is likely to be a much lower figure.
In Tier 4 areas all group walks are suspended.

COULD YOU JOIN OUR FOOTPATH TEAMS?
Ramblers Trafford Group is looking to add members to the Footpath Inspection and Path Maintenance teams.
Members carry out a variety of activities and each person chooses to help in whatever way suit them best.
Some walk local footpaths and check that the paths meets the standards laid down by Trafford Council.

repairing paths natural surfaces and placing waymarks (yellow circles with black arrows) where needed.
We work out of doors, all year round within the borough of Trafford.
