SATURDAY STROLLER WALKS - to the end of June 2018
Not been walking for a while? Want to get back to walking?
Just fancy a short easy stroll in the fresh air? Come and join your local Ramblers group on a ‘Saturday Stroller’.
All walks are easy, circular and will be at a leisurely pace taking 2 to 3 hours. All of the walks are around 4-5 miles long
So why not give it it go?
All you need is suitable clothing and footwear - and perhaps water and a snack to have en route?
You don't need to be a member of the Ramblers to join a Saturday Stroll but we would expect you to join the group if you
walk with us on a regular basis.
To join us for a stroll just be at the start point, ready to set off, at 11am .................................
Saturday 7th April Dunham WA14 4SJ Leader; Angela/Lesley
Meet outside the Hall beside the statue for a gentle stroll in the park and beside the canal.
Saturday 21st April Tatton from Knutsford WA16 6AG Leader; Angela
Meet at Tatton St pay & display car park in Knutsford for a stroll along easy paths and through Tatton Park.
Both of the walks in May are part of the Greater Manchester Walking Festival programme.
Saturday 5th May Sale & Chorlton water parks M33 2LX Leader; Sheila
Meet at the visitor centre for a flat easy stroll around the water parks and ees.
Saturday 19th May Didsbury M20 2RN Leader; Lesley
Meet at the car park by ‘Ye Olde Cock’ in Didsbury for a stroll around Fletcher Moss Gardens, Stenner Woods and the banks of
the River Mersey.
Saturday 2nd June Carrington Moss M33 5BL Leader; Sheila
Meet at the Mersey Farm pub car park, Carrington Lane, Sale for an easy flat stroll around the Moss passing the
training facilities for Bury FC, Sale Sharks and MUFC.
Saturday 16th June Peover WA16 9EX Leader; Sheila
Meet at the Whipping Stocks Inn car park for a stroll to Peover Hall, a stop for coffee at the garden centre and returning
by Free Green Lane.
Saturday 30th June Styal SK9 4JE Leader; to be arranged
Meet at the free NT car park along from the Ship Inn for a walk through woodland along the Bollin valley and by Quarry Bank mill.
Non-members are welcome to join us but if you walk regularly with the Strollers you will be expected to join the Ramblers.
