SATURDAY STROLLER WALKS - to the end of March 2019
Not been walking for a while? Want to get back to walking?
Just fancy a short easy stroll in the fresh air? Come and join your local Ramblers group on a ‘Saturday Stroller’.
All walks are easy, circular and will be at a leisurely pace taking 2 to 3 hours. All of the walks are around 4-5 miles long
So why not give it it go?
All you need is suitable clothing and footwear - and perhaps water and a snack to have en route?
You don't need to be a member of the Ramblers to join a Saturday Stroll but we would expect you to join the group if you
walk with us on a regular basis.
To join us for a stroll just be at the start point, ready to set off, at 11am .................................
Saturday 1 December Lindow Common SK9 5LR Leader; Vicky
Meet at the Racecourse Rd, Wilmslow car park in to explore the Lindow Common and the surrounding area.
Saturday 15 December Sinderland Brook WA14 5NH Leader; Sheila
Meet at The Pelican, Manchester Rd, Timperley for a walk along Woodheys Clough and the path of Sinderland Brook.
Saturday 22 December Dunham with Xmas lunch WA14 4TJ Leaders; Lesley & Sheila
Meet at The Swan with Two Nicks for a gentle pre-Xmas stroll. All strollers are invited to join the leaders for Xmas lunch in the pub after the walk. (Choose your food on the day)

Meet at the visitor centre car park for a flat, easy walk around the water park and Chorlton Ees.
Saturday 12 January Lymm WA13 0JQ Leader; Angela
Meet at Pepper Street car park, Lymm for a leisurely stroll around the local area.
Saturday 26 January Ashley WA15 0QR Leader; Lesley
Meet at the The Greyhound, Back Lane, Ashley for an easy flat stroll crossing fields which may be quite muddy.
Saturday 9 February Plumley WA16 9RX Leader; Sheila
Meet at the The Golden Pheasant car park for a walk taking us along Pinfold Lane and crossing the Peover Eye by Trouthall Lane.
This walk is mainly on field paths which may be muddy and there are several stiles on the route.
NB; The original walk from The Whipping Stocks has been postponed as the pub is closed and there is no access to
the car park.

Meet at the car park beside St Clements Church, Stretford Rd, Urmston for an easy local stroll on paths maintained by the RTG footpath team.
Saturday 9 March Mobberley from the Bulls Head WA16 7HX Leader; Sheila
Meet at The Bulls Head, Mill Lane, Mobberley car park for a leisurely stroll taking in St Wilfred’s churchyard and the Quaker burial ground.

Non-members are welcome to join us but if you walk regularly with the Strollers you will be expected to join the Ramblers.
